These shoes are certified according to EN ISO 20345:2022 S7, although their properties are similar to those of S3-safety shoes with a weatherproof membrane (e.g. dryplexx®). Due to the adaptation of the EN ISO 20345:2022, new protection classes are created to further subdivide the characteristics of safety shoes in the future. Inside, the steel toe cap and puncture-resistant textile sole reliably fend off all attacks, while on the outside, the abrasion-resistant nubuck leather with a robust rubber toe cap provides stability. These safety shoes are not only fashionable but also waterproof, windproof, and breathable thanks to the high-performance dryplexx® membrane. They can withstand all weather conditions and keep your feet comfortably insulated while offering full S7 protection. The puncture-resistant sole is also a smart feature in cold environments - made from flexible textile fibre which, compared to a steel mid-sole, does not form a thermal bridge. The FCB Alpine Safety Shoe S7L low comes with a substitute player right out of the box: a second pair of laces in a contrasting colour, providing complete flexibility in terms of style.

Breathable shoes only work with functional socks. Cotton socks store moisture. In contrast, functional socks remove the moisture from the feet to the outside. Then the breathable shoe membrane comes into play and transports the moisture to the outside of the shoe. Therefore the principle behind breathable shoes only works if breathable socks are worn. Only a combination of functional socks and breathable shoes effectively removes sweat sending it to the outside of the shoe. This is the principle of breathability.
